Mandurah City Council last night passed without discussion a recommendation from their Governance Committee to accept a tender from Dalcon to extend the Bortolo Reserve facility at a cost of $687K and authorise the CEO to conclude the contract. This sum does not include major electrical upgrades for which Synergy are quoting around $200,000.
Even allowing for the electrical work, the cost is well below the initial estimates and this should mean that the club's contribution to the works may be reduced but this will depend on the final contribution from the Lotteries Commission.
This is a great result and hopefully we should be in our new premises before the end of the year.
