MANDURAH BRIDGE CLUB

Work is now under way and the contractor is confident that the building will be completed by the end of September. After allowing for the time needed to complete the landscaping and car park areas we should certainly be using the facility by the end of the year.

Congratulations to the winners of the annual Club Teams Championship held on Saturday.
The team of Alan Wardroper, Tom Stack, Eugene Wichems and Robina McConnell were clear winners over runners up Ann Bate, Jean McLarty and Phil & Kathy Power.

Thanks to the director, Wendy Blakely, for giving up her day to run the event in her efficient and friendly manner.

It has been confirmed by Gordon McMile of the Mandurah City Council that work on the project is expected to commence by the end of this month.

Some members may have noticed an article in the local newspapers regarding the City being left with a funding shortfall because they are yet to receive almost $900,000 in promised State Government Funds. The last paragraph of the article confirms that the City will now fund our project and that two other projects will have to deferred.
